There are two types of product photography the first and most important is the “Grab” or “Hero” Image. These are usually Lifestyle or ‘In-context’ product images that show the product in use. The goal is to make the buyer picture themselves in the scene, to feel like they already are doing the action. This creates a familiarity, emotion, and an memory that becomes attached to your product. It is these feelings that lead to purchases and brand loyalty.
The other is focused only on the product (flatlay), these are usually presented on a simply background.. The goal is to minimize distraction and present the product at its absolute best in a consistent and easily browsed manner.
Products lose their “New feel”, so it is critical to constantly up date your images with the latest looks and products.

All Branding, Product and Advertising packages*,
- include a 100% exclusive commercial, editorial, and promotional license for the sole use of your company.
- Portfolio use remains reserved to Xander Kabat Photography**.
- Neither party can, loan, provide, sell, or license images to any third party.
- All usage rights are not limited temporally, by content, or spatially. The licensee may fully redesign the image.
Individual "Hero" Image
Individual "Hero" Image Package includes:
- initial shoot planning meeting
- one location shoot
- online proofing gallery for viewing and selection
- three (3) fully retouched images delivered via digital download in full resolution.
- A USB drive containing the images is available at an additional cost of $10
Pricing:
- up to 2 hours = $250 (location dependent)
- Additional image starts at $150 each
- More complex retouching such as clothing or colour alteration start at $100 per image depending on what is required.
The Product (Flatlay)
These packages are for products that are shot from overhead or a slight angle on a plain white or black background.
Product Flatlay Package includes:
- initial shoot planning meeting
- product shoot at my studio*
- online proofing gallery for viewing and selection
- two (2) fully retouched images delivered via digital download in full resolution per product.
- A USB drive containing the images is available at an additional cost of $10
Pricing:
- 1 Product (up to 2 hours) = $150*
- 2-4 products = $135 each
- 5-7 products = $125 each
- 7 - 10 products = $125 each

Hero shoots are available on location, in a studio, or a combination of both. Please contact us to discuss locations for your shoot.
Product Flatlay shoots are available in my studio or at your location however an additional fee will be added for remote/ at your location shoots.
Pricing does NOT include delivery and return of products to/from my studio this is the sole responsibility of the client.
